Job description    
The People Partner is the main point of contact for all Human Resources/People related matters for the subsidiary's leaders and employees as well as to external partners. He/She supports the subsidiary based in Shanghai with currently around 70 employees (across PRC and Hongkong). The PP reports directly to the Executive Vice President Asia and works in close contact with the Central PP who is based in the headquarters in Germany.

Your tasks    

  • Understanding the organization's business strategies in order to provide HR insights and solutions to business challenges
  • Building up relationships within the company and being the "proactive" link between employees and management 
  • Recruiting,  e.g. creating of job advertisements, candidate management, prescreening, conducting interviews and assessment centers, analyzing of suitable recruitment channels as well as training the supervisors in recruitment
  • Setting-up of standardized HR processes and monitoring of all ongoing administrative tasks, from the employee's entry to the exit; this includes but is not limited to cooperation with external payroll partners. 
  • Ensuring up-to-date employment contract templates, guidelines and employee handbook in line with local regulations
  • Developing, implementing and detailed external market benchmarking of tools for compensation & benefits
  • Drive employee engagement and managing change, ensuring motivation and retention of talent together with management is a core priority
  • Supervising and consulting in regard of RATIONAL's Year of Leadership (employee, appraisal, salary review, people development rounds) as well as supporting the employees and leaders in questions of using our HR Software SuccessFactors (First-level-support)
  • Implementing and developing of training measures and coordinating as well as ensuring the employee development activities, controlling the training budget, supporting the management in using the internal skill matrix
  • Supporting our global Employee's satisfaction survey and resulting workshops and activities on local level
  • Developing of the internal communication, feedback culture and conflict management 

Your profile

  • Successfully completed studies with a focus on human resources management or several years of professional and management experience in a comparable position
  • Preferably several years experience in a fast-growing sales-oriented company that also includes recruiting roles like product management, R&D, operations, purchasing as well as service engineers
  • Experience in an international environment and working in a matrix organization, ideally with a European (German) based HQ
  • Sound knowledge of local labour, social security and tax law as well as managing payroll
  • Preferably experience with international assignments (expats as well as inpats)
  • Leadership skills and experience as the People team in China will grow and therefore this position will have one direct report in the near future
  • High customer and service-oriented approach (towards all employees, management as well as external parties) and good communication skills on all levels
  • Empathy and thoughtfulness towards people and proactivity in workforce strategy. Ability to manage and meet employee expectations while maintaining the business focus 
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, team player within and across different functions, e.g. F&A
  • Hands on approach, result-orientation, flexible and optimistic mindset 
  • Very good MS Office skills; SAP SuccessFactors an advantage
  • Very good written and spoken Mandarin Chinese as well as English
