The Regional Service Operations Manager’s (RSOM) primary responsibility is to develop, support, and manage RATIONAL USA service partners in their assigned territory in a manner consistent with RATIONAL USA’s philosophy, goals, and objectives. The RSOM is the key link for all service needs from the sales organization to their assigned territory. The RSOM is the service ambassador representing RATIONAL USA in a professional manner at all times.
Daily tasks support the essential duties of territory management and sales support. The RSOM will interview and negotiate contracts with RATIONAL service partners (RSP) as needed, perform annual assessments, and hold them accountable for service response time, fix rates, and inventory. They will serve as the primary point of contact with the RSP managers, working together to find best practices for efficient service, warranty work, and invoicing. The RSOM will also prepare monthly territory reports and travel itineraries. It is an important responsibility to address customer or salesperson complaints and resolve problems in a timely manner in order to support sales process stakeholders including end users, equipment dealers, manufacturers representatives, regional sales managers and directors. The RSOM will work in close collaboration with the Regional Technical Service Manager in the same territory.
Qualifications include an Associate/Bachelor's degree in Electronics from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, and experience in third-party service management is a plus. The RSOM is required to attend training classes as needed and should desire to succeed in an environment of continuous learning. The RSOM role requires frequent ground and/or air travel (50%), including local and distance destinations and possible continuous overnight stays. It is also required that the RTSM live in the territory and ideally within an hour of a major airport. The South territory encompasses Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, west Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, downstate Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska.
