The Warehouse Support is responsible to works in collaboration with other departments and staff, and parent company partners, to ensure shipment and inventory transaction accuracy in order to support customer needs.

 

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Performs duties related to order shipping and receiving and day-to-day warehouse operations.  Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Pick and pack customer orders, counting and weighing of products

  • Pick’s customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or transports orders to packing station or shipping area.

  • Operates lift truck or uses hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.

  • Sorting of incoming materials and understand how to use the bar code system

  • May perform other responsibilities when required.

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be detailed oriented, and have working knowledge of freight processing software (i.e. UPS). Forklift Certification is a plus.

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.  Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one situations.

  • Basic proficiency in computer usage and office automation tools such as E-mail, WWW, Windows, Microsoft Office.

  • Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and appropriate automobile insurance.

  • Drug-free environment.
