Summary

The Call Center Specialist's (CSS) primary responsibility is to provide technical support to RATIONAL USA’s service partners over the phone and by email.  The CSS must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, technical details concerning RATIONAL USA equipment, accessories, consumables, and spare parts to support customers, internal staff, and our business partners.  In addition, the CSS assists in training the service partners and their sub-agents as well as customer sponsored individuals.  They are a link for all service needs from the sales organization and customer care team. This position is based in our Rolling Meadows, IL US headquarters office.

 

Responsibilities include:

  •  
  • Answer calls and respond to emails in order to manage customer inquiries
  • Research required information using available resources
  • Provide external technicians and customers with product and service information
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints and identify and escalate priority issues in a timely manner, ensuring that the appropriate Service Partner is providing our customers professional service.
  • Enter new or update customer information in system
  • Follow up customer calls where necessary
  • Document all call information according call log procedures
  • Provide communication back to the Service Partners and/or Regional Technical Managers on their performance to ensure they can take the appropriate action

 

Qualifications include:

  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Electronics from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 3-phase power, gas experience, electronics technology troubleshooting background is essential.
  • High willingness to provide excellent customer service
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Patience, desire to teach/instruct/coach others
