The profession for the metal-electrical all-rounder.

Learning content of the 3.5-year training:

Machining of metals, non-ferrous metals and plastics
Planning, assembly and testing of electrical and electronic circuits and controls
Construction and commissioning of electrical and electropneumatic systems and controls
Programming of SPS (programmable logic controller)
Handling of electronic measuring instruments
Commissioning of machines, testing equipment and plants

The basic training takes place in our training workshop. There you will learn the skills of metalworking, electrical engineering, electropneumatics and control technology. This basic knowledge is deepened in the component factory, the inner box production and in the assembly islands.

The theoretical training takes place at the Landsberg vocational school.

The profession for the metal-enthusiastic tinkerer with a small electrical component.

Learning content of the 3.5-year training:

Machining of metals, non-ferrous metals and plastics, e.g. cutting, machining (milling, turning), joining and shaping
Assembling and adjusting assemblies
Commissioning of machines, testing equipment and systems
Installation and commissioning of electro-pneumatic control systems

The basic training takes place in our training workshop. There you will learn the skills of metalworking, electrical engineering, electropneumatics and control technology. The deepening of this basic knowledge takes place in the component factory, the inner box production and in the assembly islands.

The theoretical training takes place at the Landsberg vocational school.

The profession for the interested logistician.

Learning content of the 3-year training:

Use of work and material handling equipment, e.g. forklift trucks
Receiving and storing goods
Picking and packing of goods
Handling of logistical processes, as well as quality assurance measures, e.g. handling of goods and participation in logistical planning and organization processes
Dispatch of goods, preparation of accompanying documents and implementation of load securing measures

After an introductory week, you will usually start your training in our production department to get to know our product and the production processes right from the start. Subsequently, all the necessary knowledge of the job description is taught in various sub-processes of shipping, such as order processing, picking, handling/loading. We use modern software solutions for this purpose.

The theoretical training takes place at the Landsberg vocational school.

The profession for a quick start in the metal sector.

Learning content of the 2-year training:

Checking the properties of metals and materials such as iron, steel, copper or aluminium.
Selection of suitable tools and machines
Adjustment and monitoring of the machines
Manual machining or finishing of the components
Checking the quality of the components or products

The basic training takes place in our training workshop. There you will learn the skills of metalworking. This basic knowledge is deepened in the component factory, the inner box production and in the assembly islands.

The theoretical training takes place at the Herzogsaegmuehle vocational school.

The profession for the IT enthusiastic programmer.

Learning content of the 3-year training:

Development of complex software solutions incl. testing and documentation
Development of interface concepts and user interfaces
Software maintenance and operation in a complex corporate environment

After an introductory week and getting to know our production and our products, you will start your training directly in our IT department. During your training, you will work in the various IT departments and thus get to know the entire IT. The focus is on the further development and support of complex software solutions. This is done in close cooperation with our "customers" (the users) in order to support their work and business processes in the best possible way with suitable software systems.

The theoretical training takes place at the vocational school in Fuerstenfeldbruck.

The profession for helpful experts of IT systems.

Learning content of the 3-year training:

Worldwide consulting and support for end users
Hardware and software failure analysis
System support, configuration and integration
Maintenance of various networks and infrastructures

After an introductory week and getting to know our production and our products, you will start your training directly in our IT department. After that, you will join the ServiceDesk team in IT. Here you will advise and support our end users worldwide. In the course of your training, you will get to know the other areas of "Operations" and "Client & Communication", where you will learn how to handle our server structures, telephony, conference systems, and much more.

The theoretical training takes place at the vocational school in Fuerstenfeldbruck.

The profession for the commercial all-rounder.

Learning content of the 3-year training:

Getting to know and supporting all commercial company processes - from the order to customer service.

You will start your training with an introductory week, usually in our production department, in order to get to know our product and the production processes right from the start. During your apprenticeship, you will support various processes such as purchasing, marketing, sales, shipping, central services, finance, accounting, human resources and accounting/controlling. Here you will be taught all the necessary skills for the job. We use modern software solutions for this.

The theory lessons take place at the vocational school in Schongau.

The profession for the gourmet with a strong passion for food and its preparation.

Learning content of the 3-year training:

Learning technical kitchen procedures, e.g. different cooking methods
Creating dishes for communal catering and for à la carte
Product presentation in the catering area
Apply hygiene regulations
Cost control, merchandise management and kitchen organization

After an introductory week, you will usually start in our production department to get to know our product and the production processes right from the start. The training takes place in our company restaurants. There you will learn, among other things, the different types of cuts and classic preparation methods as well as the creation of buffets and menus. This basic knowledge will be deepened in our training center and at our training partner.

The theory lessons take place at the vocational school in Munich.

The technical study for innovators.

In this broad-based course of study over 3.5 years, you will be able to develop and manufacture mechanical, electrical and mechatronic components and machines.

Your areas of work in the company include product development, the production and delivery process and application development with the following contents:

Engineering trade
Industry-specific customer and product knowledge
Tools and methods of product development & quality assurance
Project management methods
Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
Corporate philosophy, structure and culture

We offer the dual study program in mechatronics as a combined study program and as a study program with in-depth practical training at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.

Course of your dual studies:

The program consists of in-company training as a mechatronics technician and a course of study. Both are combined in this model and you obtain two degrees (IHK degree & Bachelor of Engineering). You complete the first part of the training up to the final exam part 1 in our training workshop. After that, you will alternate between university semesters, training periods and practical phases in the company up to the Part 2 final examination. After the Part 2 final examination, further practical phases in the company and university semesters follow. At the end of your studies, you will write a bachelor's thesis in the company.
You will take part in a regular study program that is optimally supplemented by practical assignments in the company. The theory can thus be directly implemented in practice. At the end of your studies, you will write a bachelor's thesis in the company and obtain a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

The study for technicians with IT affinity.

Computer engineering deals with issues in which electrical engineering and computer science interact. Typical topics with a focus on electrical engineering are control engineering and embedded systems; on the information technology side, these are time-critical applications, communication technology, and Internet of Things/Industry 4.0.

Computer science deals with the structure and operation of IT systems, software development methods, computer networks and databases. In addition, the bachelor's program introduces students to related disciplines such as mathematics, statistics, numerical methods, physics and business administration and teaches strategies for method selection and development as well as modeling and problem solving.

Your areas of operation in the company include product development, the production and delivery process and application development with the following content:

At the end of the program, you will write a bachelor's thesis in the company and earn a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science) or Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree.

The economic study with a global orientation.

The broad-based business degree program includes:

International business knowledge
Extensive foreign language skills

International project work

Your areas of work in the company include marketing, sales, purchasing, production, accounting, finance, human resources, controlling and customer service.

Course of your dual studies (3 years):

After the introductory week, you start your training with a practical phase in one of the company's core processes. During the practical phases, you will get to know a wide variety of areas and independently implement project work. During your training, you will also have the opportunity to get to know one of our subsidiaries. In addition, we will be happy to support you in completing a theoretical semester at a partner university abroad.

We offer dual studies at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Ravensburg.

At the end of your studies, you will write a bachelor thesis, i.e. you will work on a practical problem using scientific methods.

The degree for shaping digital transformation within companies.

This comprehensive business-oriented program includes:

Understanding and developing business processes

Course of your dual studies:

In October, you will start your first theoretical phase (A-Phase). During the practical phases, you will gain insights into various departments and independently implement project work. Additionally, we support you in completing a theoretical semester at a partner university abroad. We offer this dual study program at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) in Ravensburg. At the end of your studies, you will write a bachelor’s thesis, which involves addressing a practical problem using scientific methods.

The ideal program for those with a keen interest in food production.

In this comprehensive 3.5-year program, you'll learn theoretical scientific content alongside important aspects of practical implementation in production, marketing, and trade. You will be prepared for various tasks that you can practically apply at RATIONAL.
