Culinary Assistant

The Culinary Assistant’s primary responsibility is to provide culinary support and manage the facilities of our culinary event’s center and prep kitchen.  Main responsibilities include cleaning, dishwashing, stocking, and prep support for the culinary event center, kitchen, and trainings.  The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, details concerning RATIONAL USA equipment, accessories, ingredients, chemicals, and paper goods in order to support trainings, guest visits, and tradeshows is crucial to the success of this position.

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Display a positive attitude, strong work ethic, energetic initiative, and self-motivation to complete assigned work and meet goals.
• Can work well under pressure and maintain a consistent working pace in a fast-paced team environment
• Must be a team player.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and be on your feet for hours at a time.
• Able to understand, support and follow company policies and procedures.
• Experience working in a commercial kitchen is a plus, at minimum, a passionate attitude about entering the foodservice industry is required.
