The Regional Sales Director is responsible for managing and growing sales volume through management of the company’s sales team and development of the partner network within multi-state territories.  The Southeast region encompasses states from eastern Tennessee to the Carolinas and Florida.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Increase customer base of new unit sales by effectively coaching and developing the sales team
  2. Work within structured sales approach to enable sales team to meet activity targets
  3. Plan and record activities for all open business opportunities in CRM software
  4. Identify, secure and develop strategic business partners and multipliers, including independent rep organizations, distributors/dealers, etc, including initial and follow up visits with partners to promote activities and drive sales.
  5. Plan follow-up activities according to structured sales procedures
  6. Monitor and report to executive management on sales team and partner issues, based on activity data from CRM software
  7. Participate in or assist partners with regional trade shows and events when needed.
  8. Assist sales team and partners with “Team Cooking Live” demonstrations
  9. Coaching and development of sales team on Team Cooking Live performance and progress.
  10.  Coaching and personal development of team members.
  11. Performing Team Cooking Live audits to promote and encourage development and increased results.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building capability
  • Ability to work in cross functional, team oriented, and results driven organization
  • Ability to work within a structured sales process
  • Self starter, detail oriented and able to work independently
  • Ability to succeed with at least 60% overnight/away-from-home travel, typically including continuous overnight stays, with occasional international travel

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business and/or marketing
  • 5 - 7 years of previous sales, sales management or business development experience
  • At least 2 - 3 years supervisory experience
  • Previous culinary experience or strong interest in cooking
  • Experience with key account management
  • Skilled in the presentation of technically sophisticated manufactured goods
  • Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Salesforce (or other CRM system), Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Map Point)
