Vice President Key Accounts USA

SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Key Accounts is responsible for the growth and retention of the national key accounts sales for RATIONAL USA. The VP manages a team of 6 direct reports who close opportunities as well as find and facilitate new opportunities. The VP will be expected to have a network of existing relationships within the food service industry and be able to leverage key affiliations in order to gain access to high-profile customers. They must also maintain a collaborative and progressive relationship with the international Key Account team based out of the German headquarters and with the Street sales associates within the USA business. The VP role will be based from our Rolling Meadows, IL USA headquarters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the sales team, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth for Key Account business unit; is directly responsible for the Key Account Business Unit’s budget and revenue
- Must collaborate with Area Vice President in developing relationships with key clientele on a large scale
- Cultivate plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
- Exceed customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and pipeline reporting
- Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions
- Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful channel and partner programs
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- College degree business or associated discipline; MBA preferred
- Working knowledge of Food Equipment and/or hospitality sector preferred.
- Director level oversight, management and leadership of a team of 5 or more people.
- Able to demonstrate successful Account Management and business development within a consultative sales environment.
- Contract negotiation and retention.
