People Partner ASEAN (80% FTE)

The People Partner is the main point of contact in Human Resources/People related matters for the subsidiary's leaders and employees as well as to external partners. He/She supports the BDC Asia subsidiary in Singapore with currently around 30 employees (across ASEAN countries) in the recruiting of qualified employees, training them, and to increase their retention in the long term. The PP reports directly to the Senior Vice President BDC Asia and works in close contact with the Central PP who is based in the headquarters.

 

Your tasks          

  • Understanding the organization's business strategies in order to provide HR insights and solutions to business challenges
  • Building up relationships within the company and being the "proactive" link between employees and management
  • Recruiting e.g. creating of job advertisements, candidate management, prescreening, conducting interviews and assessment centers, analyzing suitable recruitment channels as well as training the supervisors in recruitment
  • Drive employee engagement and managing change, ensuring motivation and retention of talent is a core priority
  • Developing, implementing, and detailed external market benchmarking of tools for employee retention
  • Supervising of RATIONAL's Year of leadership (employee, appraisal, salary review, people development rounds) as well as supporting the employees and leaders in questions of using our HR Software SuccessFactors (First-level-support)
  • Setting-up of standardized HR processes and monitoring of all ongoing administrative tasks, from the employee's entry to the exit; this includes but is not limited to cooperation with an external payroll partner
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach and will be focused on identifying areas of improvement and proposing and executing solutions
  • Implementing and developing of training measures and coordinating as well as ensuring the employee development activities, controlling the training budget, supporting the management in using the internal skill matrix
  • Ensuring up-to-date employment contract templates, guidelines, and employee handbook in line with local regulations
  • Developing of internal communication, the feedback culture, and conflict management

 

Your profile

  • Successfully completed studies with a focus on human resources management or comparable several years of professional and management experience in a comparable position, preferably in a sales-oriented company
  • Experience in an international environment and working in a matrix organization; ASEAN markets experience preferred.
  • Ideally experience with international staff assignments (expats as well as inpats)
  • Must have deep caring for the business workforce and be a proactive force in workforce strategy. Ability to manage and meet employee expectations while maintaining the business focus is key.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Thoughtful discretion and hyper-sensitivity around confidential and sensitive information
  • Knowledge of local labour, social security, and tax law
  • Analytical, structured way of working as well as strategic and solution-oriented thinking
  • High level of social competence and communication skills as well as a strong service orientation
  • Role model function in the representation of corporate principles
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to constructively challenge, in a demanding and high performing work environment
  • Hands-on approach willing to roll up sleeves to deliver results. Flexible and optimistic mindset with low ego
  • Very good Office skills; SAP SuccessFactors an advantage
  • Very good written and spoken English; other languages advantageous
