Description
Based in Singapore, the Technical Manager reports to the Service Manager and he is in close contact with sales colleagues in his assigned territories. His tasks include provision of support in all technical enquires, improvement of the product, as well as the service quality by taking care of technical trainings, product quality as well as partner performance monitoring.
Main Responsibilities
- Manages and develops an efficient and long-term service network of RATIONAL Service Partners.
- Trains technical staffs of RATIONAL Service Partners.
- Provides consultation in technical questions and issues by phone or on-site.
- Handles installation services enquires or provides consultation services on-site.
- Administers and follow up of warranty notifications.
- Reports and tracks quality issues.
- Coaches and conducts audit of RATIONAL Service Partners.
- Conducts customer visits.
- Manages customers’ account with Preventive Maintenance packages.
- Participates in exhibitions and trade fairs.
- Manages ConnectedCooking rollout (IT connectivity of units) for end customer via RATIONAL Service Partners.
- Translates technical documents into Bahasa Indonesia/Melayu (preferred due to market coverage)
- Drives installations reporting in the region.
Practice Background
- 5+ years of relevant experience with minimum Diploma in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering or similar.
- Well-grounded technical know-how (Electrical-Mechanical) paired with advisory skills.
- Understands technical questions and issues and able to explain complex technical information in an understandable way.
- Experience in conducting training courses (i.e. Classroom, on-the-job and webinar).
- Experience in the field of technical service as well as in the dealing with dealer/service partner networks.
- IT-Savvy (Basic Network Connectivity, MS Office, SAP preferred).
- Willingness to travel (i.e. up to 50%).
- Proactive, enthusiastic, open minded and customer-oriented
- Must have – English (Spoken and Written)
- Good to have - Bahasa Indonesia/Melayu (Spoken and Written) due to market requirement
