Indoor Championships 2023
After a two-year break, the RATIONAL Indoor Championships took place again. The internal sports event has now become a well-established tradition in the RATIONAL year and is organized with many helpers thanks to our employees. 11 teams with around 100 players took part, including groups from different areas, such as HR and IT, which stood out with an above-average quota of women. Once again this year, the teams were very creative in their naming and shirt design. The game was played in two groups. The two teams with the most points qualified for the semi-finals.

Following is the detailed report from the organizers:
Places 5 to 11 were determined by placement matches. In the first gripping semi-final, the Serviceteile team beat FC Biegen (KF) 3:2. The service parts team was followed into the final by the winning team (R&D) with a clear 5:2 against DACH (Sales). This resulted in the eternal duel between R&D and Service Parts for the RATIONAL soccer crown. After a tactical opening few minutes, the service parts team showed courage and took the lead with a brace. After a brief rally and a goal to make it 2-1, Serviceteile scored 3-1 in the closing stages to clinch a well-
deserved victory in the tournament. In the small final the team DACH kept the upper hand against the FC Biegen and secured with a 3:2 thus place 3. The tournament was opened, observed and expertly accompanied by Dr. Stadelmann and Mr. Wiedemann. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Peter Stadelmann, who took the opportunity to address a few words to the participants. As in previous tournaments, Swiss colleagues had to do without active support on the court from Dr. Stadelmann. The tournament was rounded off by a great atmosphere on and off the court, especially during performances by Team HR.

Each team received a cup, which was made in our component factory, and the four best-placed teams were also presented with a value voucher for a team event. Congratulations to Team Service Parts on their well-deserved victory.
