For him, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) license was obtained which allows the training of apprentices.. Later, he was also responsible for the training of our blue-collar trainees, among other things. Even today, after 30-35 years, most of his trainees are still with the company themselves. At RATIONAL, Uli Stengelmair worked his way up from apprentice to head of Components GmbH. He is particularly keen to uphold one of RATIONAL's core pillars. The U.i.U. idea - according to which each and every employee should act and make decisions as if it were their own company. "This requires role models and managers who give their employees the responsibility and freedom," says Stengelmair. When asked what he will miss the most, he replies, "Definitely my colleagues and staff. It's extraordinary to look forward to your work and the people there every day." Nevertheless, he won't be bored anytime soon - with three grandchildren and numerous hobbies, including tennis and golf.
